Pretty Prague

Dobry den from Prague, Czech Republic. At first I was wondering what all the hype was about as our hostel is not in a particularly pretty location but after strolling into town to see the main sights, it is quite a picturesque city. The weather continues to be very hot but there is the occasional thunder storm to cool things down a bit. The photos start with some from our last day in Vienna and then move onto Prague. Tomorrow we are heading to Berlin.

MC at Beethoven's grave. There are other famous composers buried alongside him like Strauss, Schubert, Brahms and also a Mozart memorial. But he himself is in a cemetery down the road.
St Vitus Cathedral in Prague Castle.
Good King Wencelas on horseback guarding over the square named after him. Behind him is the national museum.
Oops they're out of order again. Back in Vienna - gothic St Stephen's Cathedral at night.
Vienna again and this dessert place had SEVENTY-TWO options on the menu. Plus 25 gelato flavours. Mmmmmm dessert....
A monument to Mozart in Vienna with a cool treble clef in the grass.
Back to Prague, Tyn church in the background and the Old Town Hall to the left.
On the famous Charles Bridge over the Vltava river.
John on the bridge. It's lined with those black statues of various famous religious people.
The view of Prague from Prague castle.
St Vitus cathedral in Prague Castle, from a different angle.
Some traditional Czech cuisine. Dumplings, sauerkraut, goulash and cheap beer.
A medieval fortress above the city gives this view of the river and surroundings.
St Nicholas church in Prague's Old Town is an impressive baroque cathedral.
It was really hot and John was tired, obviously.
The Astronomical Clock adorning the Old Town Hall. We watched its hourly performance of dancing apostles and a bell-tolling skeleton. Bit of an anti-climax though...

The photo (maybe third one down) of you out for dinner is very pretty mc (pity about john... just jokes). the car got a new battery so it is going well, it also needs a service (errol was not impressed that you had neglected it!).
