Route 66, Arizona

On the road from the Grand Canyon to Las Vegas we ended up on a well-preserved section of the historic Route 66. We stayed in two small Route 66 towns; Flagstaff and Williams and took a detour south to Sedona, famous for its red rocks (yes MORE rocks!).

The red rock and cacti-filled Arizona desert from Cathedral Rock.

MC taking a breather after a big climb up Cathedral Rock.
It's nearly Halloween!! And there are pumpkins everywhere.
A healthy-looking lunch at a Route 66 diner in Williams.
Route 66 style urinals.

The Mother Road.
Retro gas station.

From Arizona we head northwest into Nevada to Las Vegas.
